    Lexmark Platinum Pro905

Reviewed on September 25, 2009 The Lexmark Platinum Pro 905 is a fully capable all-in-one business device, but its touch screen might throw a wrench in your workflow. The Smart Solutions widgets add virtual customization to the control panel, but we wish Lexmark had retained a few hard buttons as well. As the top dog in the Lexmark printer family, the Platinum Pro 905 does the job, but the HP Officejet Pro 8500 Wireless does it better. Reviewed on November 2, 2010 The Epson WorkForce 520 isn't ideal for photo printing or graphics-heavy documents, but this all-in-one device delivers office-capable features like an auto document feeder and multiple connection options at an effective price. Dell 1350cnw Color Laser Printer

Reviewed on January 26, 2011 If you print a high volume of monochrome and color documents, the Dell 1350cnw color laser printer delivers strong results with a variety of wired and wireless networking options. As long as you're patient with its sluggish output speed and small LED screen, we recommend the Dell 1350cnw for use in a small business or home office. Samsung ML-2525W

Reviewed on April 16, 2010 The Samsung ML-2525W monochrome laser printer doesn't pack in extra features, but delivers worthwhile improvements over previous generations in output speed and quality. HP Envy 100

Reviewed on November 16, 2010 Boasting a touch-screen display, an app store, and ePrint (a remote printing service), the HP Envy 100 features loads of innovation in a slickly designed chassis. We wouldn't buy this printer for its image quality, but the convenience of ePrint and the potential of the ePrintCenter app store earn the HP Envy 100 our recommendation. HP Officejet 6000

Reviewed on June 14, 2009 We like the simplicity of the HP Officejet 6000 single-function inkjet printer. The print quality meets HP's high standards, and it outputs full color photos at an impressive rate, but its lack of an LCD screen takes some getting used to. Nevertheless, the HP Officjet 6000 performed well and earns our recommendation as a great single-function printer. HP Color LaserJet 1600

Reviewed on June 13, 2006 The HP Color LaserJet 1600 printer is the same printer as the HP CLJ 2600n with fewer features. Unlike the 2600n, the 1600 is not network ready and can be connected only via USB. Finally, the CLJ 1600 printer is compatible only with Windows-based PCs; the 2600n works with both PCs and Macs. Because both models use the same processor and memory, performance and print quality should be the same, so our assessment of those aspects of the 2600n stand for the 1600 as well. With its basic features and smaller price tag (about $299), the HP CLJ 1600 is better suited for home office environments. TAGS: tray, HP, printer, memory, PC

    HP Color LaserJet CP1215

Reviewed on April 28, 2009 The Color LaserJet CP1215 is HP's entry-level printer built to serve small workgroups, but it suffers from frustratingly slow print speeds, a missing LCD screen, and other problems. Your $299 will go much further with the Dell 1320c, another color laser with faster print speeds for the same price. Canon Pixma MP495 All-in-One

Reviewed on October 28, 2010 If you're shopping for a sub-$100 multifunction printer for intermittent use in your home, the Canon Pixma MP495 will meet your needs. It prints, scans, and copies documents, and the integrated wireless print server means you won't have a bundle of cables tangling up the office. We have a few flaws to nitpick, but otherwise Canon scores with the Pixma MP495. TAGS: Canon Pixma, cartridge, printer, LCD screen, Canon Inc., tray, printing, LCD, button

    Epson Artisan 800

Reviewed on November 6, 2008 The Epson Artisan 800 produces impressive color prints, photos, and text documents, and it outpaces the competition in almost all of our speed tests. We're impressed by its performance, but hesitate to recommend this printer based on the poor build quality and error-prone software. HP Color LaserJet CP2025n

Reviewed on April 14, 2009 Although the HP CP2025n is rather slow to print black documents and is missing supplementary features such as USB-direct printing and wireless, the color laser shines in output quality, and the software holds your hand through a somewhat daunting learning curve. The CP2025n also has a high monthly duty-cycle, so we recommend it to anyone hunting for a workhorse printer to complement an equally diligent work environment. Canon Pixma MX860

Reviewed on May 29, 2009 The Canon Pixma MX860's auto-document feeder, large LCD screen, and quick print speeds are sure to increase your productivity, but it also includes plenty of software to nourish your creative interests. At $199, this multifunctional printer earns our recommendation. TAGS: Canon Pixma, tray, Canon Inc., printer, sheet, fax, control panel, LCD, photograph

    Kodak ESP 5250

Reviewed on October 28, 2009 Kodak's ESP 5250 multifunction printer isn't marred by the errors of its predecessors, but it still needs improvement before it can keep up with the competition. Right now, its pleasing photo quality and satisfactory output speed don't justify the $170 price tag and lack of features.
