Reviewed on May 5, 2010Though other external hard drives offer a preset menu of ports, the Seagate FreeAgent GoFlex cuts costs by letting you pick from a buffet of "personality cables" so that you buy only the connections that suit your system profile. We applaud Seagate for making data backups easier than ever, and recommend the FreeAgent GoFlex external hard drive for extra data storage now and easy upgrades in the future.TAGS:Seagate Technology, Seagate FreeAgent, USB 2.0, FireWire, external hard drive, USB, NTFS, Apple Macintosh, Apple Mac OS, hard drive, connection, Microsoft Windows
Reviewed on June 30, 2009A sexy, slim design and backup software set make a compelling argument for the Seagate BlackArmor PS 110 external hard drive. We like the unique Try and Decide feature preloaded on the drive, and the throughput speed scores stomp the competition. Shoppers on a strict budget should look into the Fujitsu Handydrive for the best cost per gigabyte, but the BlackArmor PS 110 offers many extra features for just a few more dollars more.TAGS:Seagate Technology, FireWire, Iomega Corp., backup software, USB 2.0, Acronis, external hard drive, backup, Apple Macintosh, USB, Apple Mac OS, hard drive, CD, Microsoft Windows
