  • I wonder how much power this uses! If I get one I can try to figure that out. In reply to: "Crave giveaway of the day: Insignia NS-DPF8PR digital picture frame"

  • CES is like Jan 5 -10. Its the first week in Jan.

I think the biggest hurdle is if they can get some type of system that works with all TV's (Even some current Plasmas that should be able to refresh it fast enough).

I mean if you have to buy some specific TV to get this to work, nobody is going to do it. In reply to: "CES 2010 preview: Gaming"

  • I honestly feel the future of 3D is really in video gaming. Now the first step is probably home video. But if Sony brought out some update update to PS3, that allowed it to play in 3d (probably on some sony TV's at first). How much better would there Motion wand thing be?

Same with xbox 360, how much better would Natal be if you were playing it on a 50" 3d tv?
I would include the wii here, but the wii still needs to get to HD first, then 3d is there next step. I don't see them doing both of these for a while.

I'm excited about 3d, but honestly until they settle down some format, and really put it in the next Video gaming system I'll probably hold off (maybe on Blu-ray) but for sure on a TV. In reply to: "CES 2010 preview: Home theater"

  • One more thought. If this does work as well as it could, this could end up giving Microsoft a new reason to come out with the xbox 720 sooner then expected. I mean I don't think we are expecting one until maybe 2013 (but 14-15 is more likely). If Microsoft can't match this (which I don't think they can with the older xbox's out there). Then they might be forced to come out with a new xbox sooner to match and do 3d/motion controller all in one. (which then goes back to how much would it cost) In reply to: "PS3 to go 3D by 2011"

  • I think this is going to be the future of Gaming. I mean think of playing the wii with 3d Games.

I am little surprised that Sony is able to get that technology out this soon. But I guess they can get it working with there TV. If they play there cards right and get other Computer makers on board (Compatible) this would be a selling point. I assume this is going to be built into the PS3, meaning that any old games would work with the technology? They don't have to make new games for it.

I don't mind the glasses as long as they don't hurt the view of the game (dim the colors).

I disagree with jwiley about motion tracking. That would be good if you are using the wii and moving around. But for me playing a game, I don't want to move my head back and forth just to see the 3d. it should already be there. In reply to: "PS3 to go 3D by 2011"

  • The point was for Ebay to find another way to make money. With all its money coming through Auction they wanted another way to bring in money. But I don't see Skype being that (But thats what ebay thought). In reply to: "eBay sets Skype loose at $2.75 billion valuation"

  • The problem is, this is more and more how people are. I see even some comments on Youtube.

I never found it that enjoyable talking to a bunch of strangers in a game. So I don't usually use my headset unless in a party. The problem is, with the new MW2, IW I guess saw cheating happening this way so now you CAN'T do this any more. There are some game types you can do this, but not in the ones you could before.

There is an option in most Call of Duty Games to Kick somebody, but for some reason its always grayed out. There are two sides to it. I know people would just kick you out of a game if you were just bad.

More I think they need some three strike rule. If I find somebody online I can give them a strike (I might have to type out what it is) but they wouldn't know who it is coming from. The message is sent to the user. After 3 or 5 or how ever many strikes the account goes under review and somebody higher up reads all the complaints.

The funny thing I saw after going to back to MW1 (after playing WoW for most of the year) I noticed not many people even have there mics on anymore. There was a couple of games where nobody had a mic on. In reply to: "Online gaming's dirty little secret"
