My girlfriend who works for an ad agency and solely uses a Mac for both home and work often talks about how her MacPro crashed while in the middle of a project or how Safari crashes when she's on Hulu or Pandora. Guess it's just her since no other Mac's have ever crashed in the history of Apple eh? In reply to: "Understanding Windows 7's 'GodMode'"

I agree... I sadly did pay for it and feel like I got raped out of $60 every time I load up that lameass game. I just don't see how they can justify charging more and offering way less than COD4. I feel like they owe me $60, so I won't be buying their next game. Infinity Ward really fracked up big time with MW2.
For crying out loud, it was a PORT from the 360 version. They didn't even bother changing verbage in the game, you can see references to XBOX LIVE in the PC version. ***? So it's no wonder the game is lame and has hardly any of the options PC gamers are accustomed to. It's because we are playing basically the 360 game, just on PC.

There are steam activation hacks/cracks that allow you to play online with a pirated copy. In reply to: "Modern Warfare 2: Most pirated game of 2009"

Well I can say that after wasting $60 on this piece of crap game, that I wish I would have pirated.
The PC version of MW2 is ridiculously retarded. No dedicated servers, very few options in choosing games, you can't pick your map, lag is major retarded because you are playing via P2P which causes problems in itself.
CoD4 was a wonderful game and well worth the $50... but it seems that the morons that now work for IW decided to charge more and offer way less.
So far for anyone having problems with the game, the only solution IW and Activision has to offer is SET YOUR RESOLUTION TO 1024x768. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot??? Are these idiots serious? it's damn near 2010, I have a 24" monitor and they want me to set my resolution to 1024x768 like I went back in time to 1999 or something?
Let's not even talk about the hacks and cheats, the PS3 leader boards, glitches, and so on and so forth.
DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! PIRATE THE HELL OUT OF IT!

come on now, it's not fair to compare the Android Marketplace to the iPhone's App store on the amount of apps. The iPhone App store had at least a year head start. And even though the App store has over 100,000 apps, the majority of them SUCK!
Once the Android Marketplace matures some, I imagine you will see some better quality apps out there. One would think that a lot of iPhone developers will eventually grow tired of Apple's "draconian" approval process and either switch platforms or start doing apps for both Android and iPhone.

When you upgrade to IE8, you are presented with an annoying little popup that you either have to view every time by selecting ASK ME AGAIN LATER, or just going through and setting up IE8 the way you want. You are presented with an option on SEARCH PROVIDERS, keep current or select a different one. If Bing is your default search in IE8 it is because you are too lazy to read and follow the instructions for setting up your search provider. It took all of 7 seconds to get Google as my search after upgrading to IE8.
Now stop with the all of this nonsense.

Then Apple should have done a bit more research before landing on the door of AT&T. Granted GSM in the US is not the best, bug going CDMA really has it's disadvantages with the iPhone. T*Mobile has far worse coverage/service than AT&T.
But if the iPhone was one of their biggest reasons for posting a huge profit, and part of that was based on US sales, would it not hurt to use some of that cash to enhance the experience of the US customer base who bought an Apple product?

Maybe Apple can share some of that iPhone money with AT&T and help them upgrade their network. Sure AT&T may cover 97% of Americans, but an iPhone is iCrap on Edge... let's face it, the iPhone is glorious on 3G and it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to a faster HSDPA. HSDPA+ would be definitely nice... but that won't happen will it. Keep pumping out those useless Luke Wilson commercials, you might fool some people AT&T, but not everyone! But that polished user interface that you mention was not Apple's... it was Creative's and as a result Apple got sued and had to pay a lot of money for it. In reply to: "Inside the Google phone: A 'snappy' chip"
