  • Although it may be free PR, I think Comedy Central would prefer cash. That whole argument from Google and it's fans is a crock.

If you look at Comedy Central's website it's clear they are leveraging free video content as a way to drive advertising and sales. A lot of effort has been put into this.

Having their intellectual property stolen and posted on YouTube so that someone else gets ad revenue is not their wish. In reply to: "Stewart, 'South Park' dragged into YouTube row"

  • Tom you seem to be griping about silverlight a lot.

I would MUCH rather use Bing and Silveright than Google and Flash. Silverlight is very lightweight and not CPU intensive at all. Flash is utterly bloated and constantly riddle with security holes. It's been one of the biggest security issues on the web for years.

Your concern about CPU load is also misplaced. You're pulling down miles of satellite imagery and doing 3d rendering. Do you expect your machine to be idle? In reply to: "Bing Maps Beta: Very cool, but limited"

  • People love to blame MS for copying.

You realize that Google Earth and Google Maps both copy technology MS developed with Virtual Earth right? Nah, can't let facts get in the way of hating MS now can we? In reply to: "Bing Maps Beta: Very cool, but limited"

  • Who needs a storyline to last 10 years. Sometime the original game does it.

Quake Live ( www.quakelive.com ) is set to launch. It is essentially the same game as it's predecessor, Quake III Arena, from 10 years ago. In reply to: "Would you stick with a game franchise for 10 years?"
