  • Although I am not a Kindle customer I wanted to express my gratitude to Amazon for honesty and integrity with your public apology to the Kindle customers. I cannot say that I have ever seen a company publicly take full responsibility for something and express their remorse in such a manor. To even go to the extent of saying "Our "solution" to the problem was stupid, thoughtless, and painfully out of line with our principles."
Thank you Amazon for reminding us what American Customer Service is supposed to be about. In reply to: "Amazon CEO apologizes for Kindle book deletions"

  • You know, maybe retail employee's across the board should stand up for this man and say we have had enough with belligerent customers, and just because you purchase something from one of our stores does not give you the right to get in our faces and scream at us. We don't always agree with our companies policies but we have to pay our bills just like the rest of the world. This employee has sent a message, it may not have been the correct way to do it but someone needs to stand up and say he has a point. • My last few most at Office Depot as a tech department Manager was bad. I actually had a customer raise their hand to me as though she were going to punch me just for asking her questions to help her determine what her needs were. Office Depot was a great company to work for, and I loved my job, so you could imagine the resistance I had to deploy to keep from creating a larger mess. I just calmly told her that I would get someone else to assist her if she needed someone and walked away. I walked to the back of the store and kept my distance. I am sure that there is more to this story than what they are saying. I do not agree with the employee's reaction but I surely can understand.
