• The savings will be even more since air conditioning costs are not included in the power savings calc. Air conditioners require 3 to 5 times more power to cool the appliance than the appliance uses itself. Plus the price of electricity is rising (an argument against electric cars - but that's another story).
  
  So the savings will be 3 to 5 times more than mentioned above since most people use air conditioning to cool their homes and appliances. In reply to: "Philips' Eco TV sips power, saves rainforest"
