Why would any one in this day and age buy a freaking celeron processor laptop? Unless they truly do not know anything about computers!? I can't believe Intel still sells this junk and gets away with it. I tried netbooks but I didn't like it, I like speed and power even on the move! The future really is better battery management and more and more juice, not under powered chips that are frustrating as hell! In reply to: "Laptop bargains: So you only have $350 to spend..."

@slickuser so what if an Arab country or company invests in AMD you will be surprised with how many tech, banking and so and so companies in the USA get their capital from these "Arab" countries. At the Arab country has invested and kept competition and innovation going, surely this benefits us the consumer. Another cnet obsession to compare everything with the apple brand!!! Why??? The psp is a successful brand in its own right and is more geared towards gaming. I know cent thinks they are doing apple favours by dropping these comparative hints so apple will release some sort of gaming console or something. Until then get over it. Apple makes fine products but it isn't the freaking centre of everything. Sony have delivered some fantastic products - my fav the ps3, I have a macbook and enjoy it however I am not so obsessed!
There are lots of flaws in the iphone like a 2 mp camera!! That is not advanced its backwards actually, its a given that apple has revolutionised the phone world by introducing touchscreen something phone manufactures that have been long in the biz should be ashamed of failing to deliver!

I don't get it with the pricing complaints here as if Sony is overpricing its products than say Apple has? Its weird ppl coming here saying Sony has overpriced products while apple's products are also overpriced and in some cases not so practical or have a myriad of faults, just look at the issues the iphone has had and in comparison to other phones is way below the par especially with that 2 megapixal camera!
I have had both sony and apples products I prefer the Vaio to other laptops and I prefer the ipod to most players each has its own unique merits. But in both cases both Apple and Sony overprice their products.
