shycelticwitch, jumping to those conclusions based of the software people use is just arrogance. You say you are a design professional. So am i, for 15 years, and guess what: used both Freehand, Illustrator and Corelldraw, and picked the last one. And guess what again: you wouldn't know that in the final work. In fact, what really matters in this job is the ideas behind the tools, and thankfully we have plenty of tools to realize them. As to image editors, although i prefer Adobe Photoshop CS3 (offline), when it comes to online editors i would recomend FotoFlexer (fotoflexer.com). Don't you think that, with his knowledge, he could have done much more harm and had much more personal benefit than he actually did? It remindes me of a Brazilian hacker that broke into my office computer about 10 years ago, and left a text file in my desktop with security tips... no real harm done. So, i agree that "The punishment should fit the crime" In reply to: "Q&A: Kevin Mitnick, from ham operator to fugitive to consultant"

Maybe i missed something in this article, but Eric can you clarify what do you mean with "Thanks to Samsung, you'll be able to connect your monitor to your laptop via wireless.".
Does it means that the laptop graphics are being sent wireless to the monitor? That would be very interesting, not just for laptops, allowing us to get rid of the VGA cables...

just to remember that IE8 is in BETA, in case you didn't noticed you're comparing different things here. Use the "compatibility view" option and you'll be fine...

As a satisfied CS3 web premium user i'm not finding enough compelling reasons to upgrade the whole studio. Plus seems its too early for a new complete version. Companies like Adobe (and Corel too) simply rush products to the market, so no wonder users like me will pass some of the upgrades.
That said, it seems that CS4 at least includes some important improvements for Flash (complex animations, including 3D, simpler tweening and object handling, etc). A new file format in Flash gets me worried, as i found that Flash CS3 can't even export FLA files compatible with previous versions like Flash MX 2004... only Flash 8 and up. Better retrocompatibility please!
As to Phototoshop CS4, the new content-aware scaling seems very interesting, but the other novelties doesn't, at least to me. Adobe, we'll meet again in CS5 ;)
