  • Well, what happens when itunes is no longer the dominant store because of their closed system. Ipod sells drop off and less people are seeking the iphones and macs. I know I've stopped using itunes and I'm beginning to consider going back to windows from OS X. Apple makes good products, I would say the best products, but I think many consumers in America like choice and when you start dictating how people should use something as common as media files, well that's a step too far. • Jailbreak multitasking is clunky and a hack job at best. I jailbroke my touch and still have to come in and out of apps to switch. Palms implementation is significantly more efficient. Although if you haven't jailbroken your touch or iphone your missing our on some great functionality. In reply to: "Prizefight: Palm Pre vs. iPhone 3GS"

  • You jokers kill me. You all should go to Home Depot and make signs that simply say iphone or pre and leave it at that. Truly unbelievable! In reply to: "Consumer Reports: iPhone bests Pre, BlackBerry"

  • What I would really like to know is why do phones ignite such animosity between people? Its a sad day when loyalty to a device can drive people to such ridiculous behavior towards each other. In reply to: "Sprint takes gloves off, aims for Apple's chin"

  • I agree with darcal. For me the app store is synonymous with a Walmart or a Target an open and public store. But the bottomline is its Apples store they can do what they want with it and we can have our say with our dollars. In reply to: "iPhone app goes topless"

  • quix is right. I had the same attitude. If I don't get a pre day one I'm out. After I recalculated the cost of my current data plan on other networks, the cost of losing my premier status and not being able to get a new phone every year at a reduced price, I had to admit to myself that it would be pretty dumb to leave sprint because I had to wait an additional month on a new phone. I don't know how long you've been with Sprint, but I thought the premier program was fair, its based on more than just a monthly payment. What specifically did you have problems with? • I'm sort of in the same predicament. My touch has some pretty good apps, and plus apple is selling 16GB iphones for the same price as the pre. However Sprint has the $70 everything plan that I'm pretty happy with and a keyboard. I'll say its good to have choices. • @gabey, that's exactly what I was thinking. Maybe these groups should start their own version of facebook, then they could say whatever they want. In reply to: "Facebook confirms removal of two Holocaust denial groups. Is it enough?"

  • I have to agree with Clease. I get a new phone every year or so. So if it does what it needs to do and does it well, the chip is not as big of a selling point as it would be in the case of computer which with subtle upgrades you can easily keep running for 4 years or more.
