• I'm loving the Palm Pre. The multi-taking is excellent. for those complaining about its sluggishness, what do you expect from having too many cards open. Try opening multiple programs on ANY computer and see what happens. It isnt any different. The iphone can only do one thing at a time. I have an ipod touch so I know what the iphone does and can compare.
  
  I was third in line at my local Sprint store and the first one out. It was a smooth process. I am VERY satisfied with this phone!!! Finally a REAL iphone alternative on the Sprint Network. ( I didn't say killer, I said alternative!!) Don't kill the competition, just deliver a knockout punch!
  
  Other than one dead pixel, Ive had a good overall experience with this phone. It surpaces everything I was expeting from it.
  
  A few minor setbacks (Cons)
  
  -No video recorder
  -No customizable text tone
  -mixed reviews on the battery
  -mini USB would of been nicer (as I don't have micro usb cables lying around even though it IS a standard)
  
  Pros
  -physical keyboard
  -web synch (google mail, calendar, contacts)
  -wireless charging (gotta LOVE that!)
  -itunes support as well as the option to use it as mass storage (try THAT on the iphone!)
  -add pics from facebook contacts
  -AIM
  -google talk
  -Turn by turn GPS (BUILT IN)
  -SPRINT TV (NFL NETWORK)
  -fits better in your pocket.
  
  this phone is no insticnt so if you were dupped into buying t hat phone last year, don't judge it based on that. I don't even know why Samsung wastes its time with that garbage phone.
  
  the Pre is the REAL deal!!
  
  As for the Apps, what do you expect? It's a brand new phone, give it some time. Everyone's gotta start from square one,
  
  and @iJustine, if you are reading this, get off your high horse Pre/Sprint bashing! I'm an Apple fan myself but don't critisize the phone because you could not get one even with your internet celebrity status! Sure go ahead follow ALL the SHEEPLE to the iphone. I give you credit that at least you ARE are REAL mac fan, unike the Apple bashers that praise the iphone but don't own a mac AND don't even know what the iphone does other than make calls and show off the phone for status! • Ok so people bought an iphone with NO VIDEO and NO PHYSICAL keyboard and your complaining because of no on screen keyboard on the pre? I would RATHER have a physical keyboard than an onscreen keyboard. I think it's more of an advantage to have a physical KB only than to have an onscreen only KB. In reply to: "2 BUY or NOT 2 BUY"

• I hate the digg bar and I hate digg for the user experience it once had is totally and completely gone. There is NO point in even going to digg if you're prevented from participating by all blind diggers involved in manipulating the content...blah blah blah you know what I am talking about. • I think the delays and the delay of a release date AND a price, are hurting the company because of it, people are living Sprint for the iphone on att. Every day they delay this sucker without a release date or a price people are going for the competitor. I don't know why Sprint just doesnt announce a date EVEN if it's the last day of the first half of 2009, give people something that will get them to wait. In reply to: "First impressions: Palm Pre"

• I don't mind waiting, What I do mind is NOT KNOWING the date of release AND the price. I mean if they say "fisrt half of 2009" and they must absolutly wait till the last day of June, then say so! This just tells me that they do not have confidence that it will be ready by that day and that they say "first half of 2009" so that if they need to delay, they never gave us a solid day which in turn is bad press for palm and sprint because many people and potential customers are flocking to the iphone. SPRINT ARE YOU READING THIS??? I hope you have a team working 24 hours to get this thing out as fast as humanly possible because for every 1 customer that goes elsewhere, that is 2 yrs that they WILL NOT be at Sprint! • quit your *******' compitition is a GREAT thing! I'm glad I didn't buy rock band, and I like the drum set of Guitar Hero better. To each his own! And no I do not call it anyone copying anyone. • I just don't agree that a story should get promoted SIMPLY because of the person that submitted the article. Articles should be dugg up based on the quality of content. I realize that in a perfect world it would be like this but it's not and that is sad. It's Sad that great stories don't make it to the front page because everyone is so busy diggin up people not stories. This isn't a popularity contest.
