That's a relief. I thought an apocolypse may have ravaged the lands. Instead it was just Twitter crapping out. I use it at work to keep an eye out for company news releases. Yes, news releases... In reply to: "Something is clogging the Twitter stream!"

My company was probably proposed to but we today are still by our selves. Keep all of our profits, no nagging wife, we're living the dream without sharing with another company. And it just frees up the market for us for companies that just want to date thier IT services company instead of taking on the baggage of being tied to solutions exclusively with just their brand (Dell, HP). Can't get true independent, honest info when your other half wants you to push their goods exclusively. In reply to: "Dell to buy Perot Systems for $3.9 billion"

Hmm, makes you wonder why they're #4 besides now just catching up with other US carriers with 3G. In reply to: "On Call: T-Mobile's unfair upgrade fee"

No 4G yet in their home market of Kansas City MO/KS, the most obvious place to have the latest and greatest. That's fine, most of Kansas City doesn't care for them anyways. In reply to: "Sprint to offer 4G network to Vegas residents"

Stores aren't the future. A good portion of customers purchase their phones and accessories via third party channels (Best Buy, RadioShack, online). Unless you're having such a horrible experience with the carrier, most don't go into the carrier's O&O stores more than once or twice a year.
I went to one of the new AT&T Experience stores and wasn't that impressed. When I said I was just looking I had an overbearing (grrrr) sales associate trying to get me to run credit now. When I did need someone it looked like the place closed up. Their service is terrible, I'm sorry.

It's already started. Pre-Carl's Jr. Hardee's had a machine that dispensed the drinks automatically. I think Carl's scrapped it but McDonalds is using a newer version for their drive-thru drinks. In reply to: "Ramen robots invade Japanese restaurant"

I work for a to-be-unnamed tech company and we're sticking with XP. We're not even going with IE 8 because it won't work with a lot of our apps. I don't even think our clients want us to transition to Vista either. The IT dept. hates it.
I have it at home and it's not too bad but I wouldn't have upgraded to it if it wasn't for the free offer from Sony when I bought my laptop.

I wouldn't put it past her. For all we know she's on a plane headed to Samsung's HQ in Korea. Just ask the ass who created the Pearl keyboard. 2 8hr sugeries and a few months of rehab and he still ain't himself. In reply to: "Samsung phone has partial keyboard--Bonnie Cha shall not be pleased"

This is always the way Best Buy operates. I went to a corporate Sprint Store around the corner from the Sprint HQ Campus of all places and they wanted $99 after rebate for a BlackBerry Curve. Go to the Best Buy around the corner and got it for $49.99 no rebate required.
I would never buy my phone directly from the carrier's b-n-m store. They want to bilk any money they can out of you. The commissions paid to and overall cost for the authorized reseller may be lower than at corporate stores too once you factor the employee and store overhead. I don't care if my car charger doesn't say Sprint on it. Just don't charge me $30 for something worth $15.

Garmin's HQ is about 5 miles from my work yet the Nuvifone feels so far away. But then again Sprint's HQ is a few blocks away and I'm sure there's a bunch of Palm Presover there. It's phone heaven except for the whole actually knowing when they're coming out thing. In reply to: "Garmin Nuvifone delayed again"
