the way i see it is verizon is just giving apple a taste of their own medicine. apple was first to start with their "childish" ads and all the apple fan boys called those ads "clever", now that apple is the one taking the blows, it's suddenly not so funny. so if apple can dish it out, they should be prepared to take the heat. @darcal123
fact is...it is super easy for anybody to go out and get an iphone, specially if they're out of contract, like myself. so if i were mad i would have no-one to be mad at but myself, but i have done my research, and the iphone is not for me, so, no thank you. i realize that there are options out there that better suit my needs.

@Appleiphonefan
my previous post was not opinions, it was facts. and thanks for the clarification, although i never once doubted you were an iphone user.
@Staszek
no, running the ipod function plus a third-party app does not qualify as multitasking. try running two third-party apps at the same time and let me know how that works out for you. while i agree that browsing the web while on the call can be useful, that is the only advantage i see for the iphone. now should i list the advantages that, say, the droid or any other android phone has over the iphone? i guarantee that list is longer.

a couple of things: the fact is that the droid can do a lot more than the iphone can claim. so the iphone can surf the web while you talk...so? what else? can it use more than one of those precious 100,000 + apps simultaneously? and to say that at&t edge are the same is just laughable. you, my friend, are living in la la land and will continue your residency there until you give up the iphone and join the rest of us in the real world. i really don't care that it won't come to verizon. i mean, with every new phone that comes out, the iphone looks more and more dated to me, just compare sense ui and iphone's ui side to side. i really don't see any advantages that the iphone might have over, say, and android phone. sure, people will say "100, 000 + apps", and "multimedia functions", for that matter, get yourself an ipod touch. you're right, the droid is no iphone because the droid is capable of multitasking, has an open OS, bigger/higher res screen, removable battery, upgradable memory, physical qwerty, free turn by turn navigation, etc. let's not forget that these are phones we are talking about and the droid is on a far superior network with better call quality and signal. if you want 100,000+ apps and multimedia functions and don't care about service/call quality (which if you have at&t + iphone combo, you obviously don't) get an ipod touch, save yourself the $100+. agreed although for me, the droid is the winner. after all, we are comparing PHONES and, call me crazy, bur for me call quality/signal is most important with features coming in at a close second. for that matter, might as well just get an ipod touch.
