U10 Firmware V1.60 - UMS version
Was browsing through the iriver website and came across this firmware upgrade (01/12/2006):

It doesn't appear that the line-in problem was fixed, but several others were, and a few features were improved. According to the iriver website:

[Improved Features]
1. SRS 2.0
2. Interval Repeat (SETTINGS -> Extra ->Hot Key -> A-B Repeat)
3. Playback Speed Control
4. Font Size Control in Text Viewer
5. Switching to Power & Data mode from Power Only mode
6. Sequential Movie Playback

[Improved Features]
1. Improved frequency on 50Hz to be balanced on User EQ.
2. Improved Alarm Clock to ******* when it's connected to the PC.

[Fixed Bugs]
1. Fixed the bug that didn't resume on music playback after certain key operations occasionally.
2. Fixed the bug that recording standby mode was not resumed after powering on and off.
3. Fixed the bug didn't resume the last read point after scrolling up or down on text viewer.
4. Fixed the bug that skipped to the next track without playing at the end.
5. Fixed the bug that failed to boot up on initial display. In reply to: "Not as useful as it should be."
