  • I appreciate youtube and have loaded over 400 local band videos to help promote our local scene's and a lot of fine performers. The ads have never bothered me at all. Anyone that tries to fault youtube in any way as regards the content on their servers is just wack and shouldn't be allowed to access it. Yeah, they could be more communicative, and yes I have some issues with their operation, but I dare anyone to say they haven't appreciated what youtube has done or that they haven't seen videos on there they'd never see again, from old soap operas to a concert that played the night before. They have every right to protect their best interests. That's no great app either and that kid should be in school. In reply to: "Teen-created Muziic likely to irk YouTube"

  • I like the fact that it will do better in low light and that it's more sensitive in removing shakes so I'd buy it for thse additions but am reluctant to pay for gps since I know exactly where I am at all times anyway...... My main concerns other than this are will I be able to edit Sony's often proprietary files and whether it has a decent microphone since I generally film bands and haven't been too thrilled with Sony camcorder mikes and the few times when they offer the option of using another mike there's also Sony's proprietary mic connections.... • Both formats suck
How about a more solid format all together? I'd prefer something a bit more solid that isn't so easily damaged. Maybe just drop it on a small hard drive, even the old Iomega zip drives were a solid piece of work that you didn't need to worry about scratching. It doesn't matter which format wins, you'll need to replace it in a few years. One good thing that;'s coming out of all of this is better 3D formats.
