  • Verizon doesnt like phones they cant control.... Android is open, Palm is pretty open, and apple wants to be a full fledged partner.. Verizons corporate policy is VERY stuffy and is not attractive to smart phone makers at all... They have a terrible history with palm.. Sprint has always had the best relationship with Windows, Palm, and HTC.. Thats why sprint got the centro 700wx, touch, mogul, touch pro, touch diamond first... Verizon never even got already dead 800w, and Palm converted the Treo Pro to cdma for sprint before At&t could even get the version thats already gsm..

And sprint might suck for you but for America as a whole it is MUCH better than At&t.. Here in so cal JD Power rated sprint as the best network.... And AT&t has been having alot of outages lately.. Sprint and Verizon DONT get those... In reply to: "Live blog: Palm keynote at CES"

  • Downgrade?? reread the specs on this real quick.. lol funny how you guys think the appstore is a "feature" palm and whindows literally have at least TEN times the apps available... My touch pro beats the crap outta your iphone.. I love pulling up web pages in skyfire and seeing peoples faces when videos play on youtube lol... The iphone is nice but its not even the best phone on At&t.. Jus because its the best phone for you doesnt mean for me or anyone else.. My touch pro can do twice as many things and Id rather have a small samsung m520 for making calls and quck texts.. I have MORE minutes when you add BOTH phones for LESS than ONE iphone plan... and my m520 is just as feature rich.. You might have to make some trade offs like multi touch or multi tasking.. But my free ninety nine phone has alot of stuff the iphone DOESNT.. In reply to: "Live blog: Palm keynote at CES"

  • Do you know anything about what you are talking about?? And who are you waiting for show you how to use a symbian phone for business.. I use HTC too and love it but lets be honest.. Are you waiting on a blogger to come to your house and show you the web sites that have the thousands of business apps available for Symbian.. Apple has like none.. Symbian has probably like several thousand.. Just because you dont see Americans using it doesnt mean its worse.. We lead in basketball, skateboarding, rap, rock, and big computer OS'. We lag behind the rest of the world in Food, Cars, and Cell Phones. Those arent opinions those are sadly facts. And if you ask how somthing objective can be a fact, I would say it is because you are the one thousandth of a percent that doesnt agree. And you are NOT an expert on the topic as well. • And Prada was announced before the Iphone was announced buddy.. Hey do me a favor and google ppc-6600 and see what comes up.. just curious.. You iwhores lol Do you even know about high tech phone features like blue tooth tethering, remote pc, wifi sharing, vga res tv out, ota music downloads, live video streaming no?? didnt think so.. Do you guys know about any low tech phone features like mms, cam flash, removable battery, removable mem, video cam, voice command, etc etc etc.. no?? none of those either wow my samsung from 2005 has all of those and actually 3 of the high tech ones too lol.. stop being biased just say the Iphone is better because it is pretty, has an Ipod, is easy for me to understand, and has an app store full of great fake mario kart games... • Think out of the box you mean like when apple stole the design from a certain manufacturer who announced and released a MAJOR touch phone BEFORE Apple... ( Please google LG Prada)

Listen my American Brethren.. I love our country too... Yes our land created the two dominate Computer OS' Windows and Mac.. BUT WE ARE BEHIND THE REST OF THE DEVELOPED WORLD IN PHONES.. Period the Iphone is revolutionary IN THE EASE OF USE IN THE OS and the fact that it is an IPOD thats it.. The browser is great its one of the best but others have the missing video features(skyfire) and others are just as easy to use (opera, webkit).. It looks sexxy but lots of phones do..

Apple stole the Idea of the touch screen large screen candybar with few buttons, its a well known fact.. WM had large touch screens for YEARS..

I see all of these ridiculous posts from casual phone users thats what the Iphone was made for.. If you dont copy and paste info from Notes, Word Docs, Spreadsheets, emails, texts, calendars, and web pages.. You are having FUN on your phone and not working.. Having a great MP3 player is an important feature as opposed to oh I dont know multi-tasking apps.. DId you know sprint has free phones that can do this?? Lol The Iphone's feature set would have LESS features than a japanese phone from FOUR years ago.. If you dont believe me please use Google it is your friend.... In reply to: "Nokia's mystery device? • Um apple is in last place in the number of apps available by The thousands.. Quite possibly the TENS OF THOUSANDS (No typo) when compared to WM, Symbian, and Palm. And yes even BB because they very smartly use the Java standard... The only Smart phone the Iphone has beat in the number of apps is the G1 and that was released THIS QUARTER..

And PLEASE dont say anything about usefullness of Apps I'll give two quick examples available on Symbian and Wm that TRUMP THE WHOLE APP STORE.. Turning your phone INTO a wifi hotspot and Full video play back IN mobile web browser on almost ANY website.. That would be leaps and bounds past the safari which is real cute..

Please use Google so you dont say things that make you like the part of your body that you use TP for. Thanks- In reply to: "Nokia's mystery device? The Nokia N97"

  • I like how they forgot to mention where this device "came from" lol... The N97 looks like an Htc tilt and the touch hd had a baby... Nice phone tho.. and all of you Iphone ****** are delusional.. THERE IS NO AREA that the Iphone can beat this baby in.. Screen nope, memory nope, app store lol are you serious, and dont give me that resistive screens suck crap.. its the software not the screen tech.. compare a samsung glyde to a touch hd.. dont give me multi touch either its the software again, HTC photo albulm has every feature of zooming, scrolling, flipping, and manipulating a picture that the Iphone has and guess what you can use one finger in or out a glove, a finger nail, or a stylus.. Not just two fingers and two only.. The Iphone is a great phone but seriously Porsche is legendary but go to any sports car afficianado and tell them that is hands down the best sports car across the board and you'll be laughed out of the cigar lounge...

And one more thing lol The HTC Touch Pro, HD, Diamond family looks like it still might be actually more powerful than this baby. Its rumored to use the same processor as current N-Seris..We'll see if the bump tha ram up to a quarter gig.. If they do that I'll agree its the most powerful but if they dont I just cant see it In reply to: "Nokia's mystery device? The Nokia N97"

  • If myspace goes we will be in the stoneage lol Trust me.. I dont even have a myspace. But if they cant make money off of having one of the largest advertising networks in history.. That means people wont be using computers or people wont be buying ANYTHING.. Hundreds of major companies like ford and chevrolet would die before myspace and the whole worlds financial system would crumble and we would probably switch to communism temporarily.. Sad thing is im not exagerating In reply to: "11 troubled Web companies: The next Kozmos?"

  • no multitasking, cut and paste, vid cam, expandable mem, ota song and video dl, live tv and radio streaming, removable battery, camera options, flash, stereo bluetooth, picture mail with case cracking, horrendus 3g (please dont say its better than evdo rev a its not in any way), weak gps, and more than double what I pay on sprint.. I couldnt call that the best lol and that whole list applies to the avg iphone and the rare ones that work decent.

I think Im gonna go with a htc touch pro running android on sprint sero for 30 bucks a month unlimited everything and 500 mins... In reply to: "30 percent of iPhone 3G buyers dump existing carriers"

  • I have a mogul and I downloaded a custom rom from ppcgeek.com. And it works great, with a memory managing app and the hacks they use for stability it works great. I might have to soft reset once or twice a week. So its less stable than palm, BB, or an iphone for sure. But its the most supported, and most flexible os BY FAR.. no really BY FAR. I mean more apps, programs, games, and ways to customize the os so it wont even resemble wmmobile. I rarely even see anything that is original wm on my phone. And with apps like skyfire -the best mobile browser hands down, Kills mobile safari, try watching the olympics on your phone, wmwifi router- turns your phone into a portable wifi hot spot, skype- voip from your phone. out of the country with a wifi signal, out of mins? just use this works great over evdo rev. a too. I could go on and on In reply to: "What's with Windows Mobile?: Ask the Editors"
