  • When I saw this post my first reaction was, why? Why should I enter this contest since I never win anything. Then it stuck me, if I enter it will give the folks at CNET another "first". You're already first in product reviews, etc and now you can be the first to pick me as the winner of this context.

Oh yeah, what does this device do? JK, I would put it to good use. In reply to: "Crave giveaway of the week: HP MediaSmart Server LX195"

  • Sounds like you've been talking to managers who are thinking in terms of money saved this quarter/year. What they don't pay attention to the money lost due to the hit on productivity. This seems to be one more knee-jerk reaction by managers that are out of touch with reality. They are so far removed from the people in the trenches that they just don't get it any more. • How about using GPS on this?
It seems that adding GPS capability would make this a lot more efficient. Now I'm basing this off watching the animated demo which shows the device bouncing off the perimeter wire and appears to never quite get the entire lawn mowed. I'm not suggesting they replace the current mechanism but simply adding to it. GPS may not be accurate enough today but it'll be more accurate in the future. • Try Mvelopes
Check out www.mvelopes.com. It is modeled after the tried and true envelope system that your grandparents may have used. It is designed to prevent you from overspending by having you pre-allocate money to different envelopes (catagories). You can tell at a glance if you are overspending and then cut back or move (virtually) money from one envelope to another to cover the overage. It really is all about helping people control their money and having and using a real budget as opposed to Quicken and Money which simply tell your where you've spent your money. • It's about time...
My first post to Crave was to "lighten" up. Black backgrounds are just to hard to read. I'll be crave'ing more now that I can read it.

Good job! In reply to: "Crave has an alter ego"

  • Give credit where credit is due...
The latest pictures (blurry though they may be) were posted originally on TreoCentral in this thread http://discussion.treocentral.com/showthread.php?t=112380 not on Treonauts. Treonauts got them from TreoCentral.
