What idiot at Ferrari signed off on this? Talk about cheapening the brand. In reply to: "Test-driving the Acer Ferrari One Netbook"

Thanks for the article, but it still doesn't address the exact question: The cable company feeds you a signal on a coax from the telephone pole or sidewalk box. This then feeds your set top box. From there an HDMI cable is recommended. So why then can't the signal enter your TV with the same type of cable which is good enough initially? If they can squeeze 100 HD channels on one end, they should be able to get them out on the other end using the same cable type. In reply to: "HDTV setup tips: So you have a new TV...now what?"

So the HD signal comes into the house off of a coax, goes into the set top box, but then needs to go to the TV using an HDMI cable. If it came into the house 'just fine' on a coax, can't it go out to the TV and perform 'just fine' on a coax? Always pondered this. In reply to: "HDTV setup tips: So you have a new TV...now what?"

What an idea! How obvious! Keep it simple.
Scenario: You meet a beautiful women with a sexy voice the night before. She contacts you the next day. Do you:
a) listen to her voice on a voice mail (or just talk to her live you idiot)
b) read a collection of letters and numbers

Thank you. Can't have family movie night huddled around a 19" monitor. That's what the big TV, surround sound and cushy couches are for. In reply to: "Getting Blu-ray on a new 27-inch iMac"

Has the TV equipped family room with a surround sound system become an extinct critter? Sorry, but I don't watch movies on a computer, otherwise why waste the $2000 for a 46"? In reply to: "Getting Blu-ray on a new 27-inch iMac"
