In Canada we don't have black friday, we have boxing day, which is the day after christmas, but the same idea. I always stay home, unless there's some really amazing deal i just can't pass up, which only ever happened once, on an mp3 player. In reply to: "Friday Poll: How will you spend Black Friday?"

While psystar's arguments are valid, they lost the case because they used questionable methods to install osx on regular pc's. But seriously, why is apple allowed to be so restrictive on their OS? Microsoft was sued for billions of dollars just for including internet explorer with windows, so why is apple allowed to outright ban their software from computers not built by them? Sure they designed the OS, but why are they allowed to carry out such anti-competitive measures? They're only losing profits by not letting people legally install OSX on a non apple-branded computer. i still can't consider the wii a real console, but the ps3 and xbox 360 are both very good in their own respects. I couldn't decide which one to buy, so i ended up with the ps3, and then recently picked up the 360 halo 3 bundle. I couldn't be happier having both consoles. i would have to argue that the halo 3 bundle was an excellent deal since it included the wifi adapter. Mine even came with the HDMI cable that was supposed to be removed from the bundle! In reply to: "New Xbox 360 holiday bundle announced"

i could never ditch a my satellite subscription. although i watch virtually no tv, i watch quite a lot of sports, which isn't practical to watch online. the NHL charges a very large amount of money to watch streaming hockey games (HD feeds are out of the question here) , and as far as i know, Formula 1 does not stream online. Because i dont really follow any tv series, i like to be able to just turn on the tv and see what's on, rather than choosing a movie or episode of a show from my non-existent media collection. i would never consider buying an entire album on itunes when i could buy a hard copy CD for almost the same price. But really, vinyl sounds quite appealing. i was excited when i heard U2's new album was going to be released on vinyl as well, but it got heavily delayed so i didn't bother waiting for it. But seriously, if cd's were completely replaced by LP's, i wouldn't miss our little digital friend for a second. In reply to: "Will iTunes kill the CD?"
