I'll just stick with my Motorola. These headsets probably sound better, but I don't need a new one. In reply to: "How to buy a Bluetooth headset"

The only thing I regret about this printer is that it prints monochrome images. In reply to: "Get a Brother HL-2140 laser printer for $49.98 shipped"

Dells don't suck. In fact I consider them superior to Macs. In reply to: "Apple releases 4 new 'Get a Mac' ads"

These GAM ads are pathetic... and sneaky. Do you ever realize how they intentinally try to make the Mac look sweet, calm and helpful and the PC like a spasmodic jerk and how they tout the Mac is for fun stuff while the PC is for office spreadsheets? It's all part of Apple's evil plan to sabotage Microsoft and make the Mac the only computer in the world! In reply to: "Apple releases 4 new 'Get a Mac' ads"

I got my Inspiron 1440 laptop for a pretty solid deal; a Pentuim T4200 (a.k.a the Pentium Dual-Core), 4 GB DDR2-800 SDRAM (upgradeble to 8 GB), Dell Wireless N card, Windows Vista Hom Premium 64-bit (with free upgrade to Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit), 4-cell battery, 14" WLED screen w/1366x768 resolution, all for $524. The Inspiron 1750 is also a good laptop. I would suggest getting it if you want a cheap media center. Also, I would suggest not to go for a Core 2 Duo w/800 MHz FSB, it won't really improve performance over the Pentium T4200; get a Core 2 Duo w/1066 MHz FSB if you're getting a Blu-ray drive. It so destroys the Macbook Pro 17". And they're offering it with Windows 7 Ultimate!! In reply to: "Get a Dell 17-inch laptop for $499(ish)"

First, it's like Apple dis' everything, then decides to put it in their computers.
Example 1: in the 1990's Apple commercials brought down Intel processors and now their Macs are using them.
Example 2: Steve Jobs calls Blu-ray "a bag of hurt" and now Macs may have Blu-ray options.
If they do, Blu-ray shouldn't be an option on Macs, it should be standard. There are PCs in which you can get a Blu-ray drive for the same or even cheaper price than the starting price of the polycarbonate MacBook.
Examples: Dell Inspiron, HP Pavilion, Dell Studio, Sony Vaio NW, HP G series.

It's kind of akward that Dell would use the Core i7 for mainstream laptops In reply to: "Dell launches first laptop with Intel's Core i7"

And now Pentium 4 is completely phased out. The fastest mobile Pentium Dual-Core (model T4200, clocked at 2 GHz) can probably outperform the fastest Mobile Pentium 4 HT (clocked at 3.46 GHz)

My Dell Dimension 4600 is using a Northwood Pentium 4 @ 2.4 GHz and it's already slow. I takes the dekstop 5 minutes just to download and process ONE song from iTunes. Pentium Dual-Core can obviously blow away the aged NetBurst-based Pentium 4. Intel should have never introduced the NetBurst microarchitecture in the first place. The only factor NetBurst emphasized on is clock speed.
