I'd rather buy local. Pay a few dollars extra. Keep a store open. Keep a neighbor employed! In reply to: "Report: Is Best Buy refusing to match prices?"

Hey ! -- All I want is a good 13-15 inch flat screen DTV with a good tuner for my kitchen. I already returned one of the few I could find--it was awful. (And I don't want it to be a $2,500 OLED.)

Heck, I'd like a good 13 inch flat screen DTV with a good tuner for the kitchen first!

The photo of the computer that prompted the author to write this article is of a long, skinny notebook computer. It is the full-size keyboard plus portability that are driving this size. In reply to: "The myth of width: When wide screens don't work"

With the big change-over to digital TV in the U.S. in February, where are good flat screen performers in the 13-17 inch screen size? (other than a $2,000 OLED!) Some smart company could really cleanup with a G-O-O-D TV in this size range. In reply to: "CES 2009 preview: HDTV"

I hate (sorry, I know that is a strong word) Firefox. The IT guy at work puts it on all of our computers. I hate the tabs. (You are about to close 8 windows...GRRRRR ARRRRGGG.)
I hate the bloody updates all the time. It wastes my time. I could easily find all my open links in my system tray with IE 6 (I hate tabbed browsing.)

Go with the hybrid cars.
Do more with solar for much of our stationary power needs--residential, business, municipal.
(I don't understand why all the engineering and design talent at GM, Ford and (or) GE can't see a Henry-Ford-opportunity here. Develop good, cheap, mass-producible solar collectors in a range of designs and sizes. Make them virtually plug-and-play.)
I guess if the US doesn't do it Sweden or China will and we can buy from them.
