  • How about no?

When you get a wifi signal, within 200 feet or so there will be a wireless AP, switch, whatever, from that piece of hardware and beyond is all wired.

In other words, you access the same network with wifi, which in this case means the government controlled internet.

If it was a matter of encryption, they could just insist that encryption not be supported.

Why do they do this? Probably because like every other country and company, they are technically illiterate. In reply to: "China to get an iPhone without Wi-Fi?"

  • There is no irony in pointing out that Twitters is for attention w h o r e s.

Unlike the brain-dead people who use twitter, they aren't doing it for attention.

The fact you are so narcissistic seems to escape you.

Twitter brings down the human race as a whole, it affects everyone regardless if you use it or not. It is that simple. In reply to: "Ten issues I have with Twitter (and its community)"

  • I think you don't know what an editorial is.

It obviously is one, at least to thinking people. In reply to: "Ten issues I have with Twitter (and its community)"

  • Why is it you don't understand that Oracle or any company including Red Hat can not own Linux? In reply to: "Ubuntu: A feasible Oracle hedge against Windows"

  • "It's irrelevant because the GPL protects nothing in a world where software is delivered over the Web, because the GPL's "distribution clause" isn't triggered. The GPL becomes BSD/Apache, in short."

It appears that not only do you not understand linux and software development, you don't have the first clue about licensing either.

Just because your company abuses the spirit of OSS, doesn't mean everyone does. In reply to: "GPL declines as open source moves to the Web"

  • What needs to happen is the EFF and a few other organizations need to band together and get all of MS's patents invalidated, and then move on to other patent trolls.

There is no such thing as a valid patent. In reply to: "Linux community codes around Microsoft's FAT patents"

  • The FAT patent is a joke. There is nothing novel or non-obvious about mapping a shorter name to a longer name.

FAT is nothing but a few concepts from CS books written in the 60's. In reply to: "Linux community codes around Microsoft's FAT patents"

  • If you need a course for iPhone "development" or a course to learn any API, you probably shouldn't be doing it. In reply to: "Computer science moves toward the Mac"

  • This is not a computer science class.

Not surprising that you don't understand what CS is. Every post you make Matt, shows how ignorant you are.

At some point, even you might get embarrassed by the drivel you write. In reply to: "Computer science moves toward the Mac"
