  • Out of all the web browsers, Opera is the only one that really follows web standards. However, because Microsoft has most of the market share with IE, most websites are coded to look correct in IE. Same goes with Firefox. I know on the newest Opera, I can't seem to use the MySpace homepage anymore and that's because the site doesn't adhered to standards. In reply to: "The browser battles go on and on"

  • It seems that everyone forgets that Verizon doesn't let you purchase a smartphone without a data plan. *sigh* Bashing AT&T for no reason. In reply to: "Report: AT&T to require smartphone data plans"

  • Been a big follower of Opera ever since my friend, who is ironically now a Firefox user, informed me of it. I love it's speed, features, and usability. In reply to: "Another beta bump for Opera 10"

  • I love Bing for shopping. I just have a problem typing Google.com because I've used it for years. But, that's all slowly changing. In reply to: "Bing sees slight uptick in July"

  • @Mac OS XP: Actually, Opera is the most standard compliant web browser on the market. It's just because it's not widely used on desktops, web developers don't bother to code pages correctly for Opera. In fact, if all web developers coded based on web standards, then Opera would probably render pages perfectly. In reply to: "Microsoft: No browserless Windows 7 after all"

  • I'm pretty sure every browser out there has been calling their browser "the fastest and safest" for awhile now. In reply to: "Microsoft: No browserless Windows 7 after all"

  • I really don't see what the big deal is. Internet Explorer is the web browser component of the Windows OS, so of course it's going to be shipped with it. If users know about other browsers, then they can simple download them and switch and not use IE at their will. I mean, when Google makes their OS, won't it ship with Chrome since that's the web browser component of the Google OS? Just like the GNOME desktop comes with Epiphany, the KDE desktop comes with Konqueror, and the Mac OSX comes with Apple Safari. Seriously, why is Microsoft being attacked? • Ugh, again, Opera is not even mentioned in the article. Notice how most of the browsers are starting to adopt the "tabs on top" look now. And, when it comes to the F11 option, Opera is king. In reply to: "Thanks for giving my pixels back, browser makers"

  • Nothing wrong with Live Serach. I've used it and it gets the job done. It's just when I search for something, I just type in Google because that's what the average consumer is told to use. I mean, I also use Ask, Yahoo, Dogpile, and Live...but Google is just the main search engine for everyone. In reply to: "Microsoft strikes deals for Live Search"
