I remember when Microsoft wanted to buyout AOL... AOL will prob. end up getting purchased by one of the Bell phone companies..... Then they'll just keep profits from its base and slowly convert them over to new offerings. In reply to: "AOL names its post-Time Warner board"

Right-on. Rushing to buy Windoze 7 is silly. Everyone knows with Microsoft you have to wait for the 2nd or 3rd service pack anway... If not you're asking for trouble. In reply to: "Apple spits at Windows 7: You can't trust Microsoft"

ICAHN is pretty bad at business. He wanted to merge Circuit City and Blockbuster. Both were on the verge of bankruptcy at the time too. In reply to: "Carl Icahn resigns from Yahoo board of directors"

Ofcourse he did. Yahoo's stock price is right back where it was pretty much when he got involved. So he has his inside 'girl' at Yahoo now who probably has the mandate to break up Yahoo and give away the rest of the revenue (ads) business to Microsoft. Not surprised.Sony Ericsson phones have too many restrictions. I bought the Sony Ericsson W760a. It advertises all over the box that it can play MP3s. Great! I thought. After I purchased the thing they then inform you that you can't set MP3s as ringtones... I was like HUH??? That is like a cross industry thing since 2000.... But ofcourse Sony is a record company too so it was obvious they want people to buy MP3s from the music stories of the cell phone companies.... Those stores are a rip off. You could buy the full song from the Apple ITunes store for $0.99 and on the cell phone stores a mere 30 second ringtone clip can cost as much as $6.... Sony can keep their phones. I'm going with cell phone manufacturers that don't collude to rip me off. In reply to: "Sony Ericsson hit by loss but beats expectations"

This rests with Microsoft.... If you turn on the Sidekick and go into the settings area you'll see that it connects to t-mobile.hiptop.com which is a secondary domain off hiptop.com Hiptop.com is owned by Danger aka Microsoft. So the devices connect directly to Microsoft's infrastructure. In reply to: "T-Mobile halts sales of Sidekick"
