More Pro gamers use 360's, more Pro gamer tournaments use 360's, Gears and Halo sell more games than any PS3 title. More games have downloadable content for the 360 than with the PS3. Since the game developers have to build the online separately into each game the online isn't consistent and doesn't work as well as the 360 which is built into the system. So for real gamers the 360 is better. In reply to: "Which console now provides the most value?"

I was thinking the same thing. It would be easier to make glasses with this technology than contact lenses. Glasses are thicker, they have more real-estate and you don't have to worry about having them on your eyes with the fear of them bleeding toxic chemicals, you don't have to worry about blurriness or eye movement. It gets rid of most of the cons of this. If at some point they actually come out with a safe LED contact lens then they can bring that out at a higher price and glasses will become geeky again.
kormiko yes glasses are for nerds and hot librarians, but if they came out with glasses that did this everyone nerd and not would buy them...these would make glasses cool.

AT&T just sucks, but the thing is most people just complain and live with it. If everyone who has problems with AT&T and the iphone complained something would be done quick. I know when I had problems with Sprint I called and they gave me credits, me and a friend got months of free service when we got dropped calls for a long period of time...and people say Sprints customer service sucks, its SO much better than AT&T.
What I see are people want the iphone so badly they'll live through the crappy service. If I had an iphone one and had bad service when my contract ran out...and maybe I'd just dump my contract...I'd move to another service provider. With Sprint it took 3 months for them to fix the problem...I'm guessing they had to put in another tower in my area, but since then its been great. I see this everywhere in everyday life. People complain about things but still keep doing using or going to the place they complain about. Best Buy, I hear so many people nag about it, but Circiut city and CompUSA go out of busniess and Best Buy stays in Business.
I guess in a perfect world people would get pissed and stop ******** and start acting. If you don't like a service don't use it, if you don't like a store don't go to it. There are other services and stores...well Best Buy basically put every other major brick and mortar store out of business...use them. It seems like most people are so whipped and I'm sick of hearing people complain. Rich people complain less because they can afford to go to high end stores and get great customer service, but the rest of us shouldn't have to settle for second rate people working at bottom of the barrel stores.

This looks like a very good device at a decent price point. It does more than the WD unit and I think looks nicer too. Thanks for the nice heads up. I'll be looking forward to hearing more about this product. In reply to: "Netgear unleashes its Digital Entertainer Live"

If they're going to lease capacity from AT&T or T-Mobile they're in trouble because both are having trouble with capacity. If they do it just to get a foothold in the US while they make their own network then that may be something to look forward too. If they bring i-mode to the states it may work out for them but then again American greed may take over and screw it up. If they had to go with either T-mobile or AT&T hopefully its T-mobile because AT&T will mess it up some how. Maybe by going in with T-mobile it'll make them stronger, and maybe Do Co Mo can help them with their network. In reply to: "NTT DoCoMo contemplates U.S. market"

I think Sprint is doing much better. Last year I was talked into going to AT&T (I'm in a family plan and I went thinking we were going to save money but didn't), we lasted a week before going back to Sprint. AT&T not only lied and said we'd get a discount of $65/mo no our Uverse by going with AT&T phone, but I couldn't make a phone call in my house, so we're back with Sprint and I'm much happier. The customer service is better...way better than AT&T. It took AT&T 3 days to finally get my number ported over, and when I called about the dropped calls they just said "we don't guarantee you get calls in a dwelling". We kept getting bills from AT&T like we never disconnected so every month for 4 months I called until they finally got it straight. Then just recently my father saw the direct connect card commercial on TV and he ordered it thinking he needed it, then I explained to him we get free WiFi. He thought when he went to Thailand but then explained to him that that would be an extra charge and he should just use the WiFi in Thailand. I called and disconnected and they charged him a cancellation fee that I couldn't talk the guy out of...because my father was over the 30 day money back guarantee.
I'm not saying I haven't had my problems with Sprint, but they pale in comparison to the ones I've had with AT&T. I have friends who have problems with Verizon and friends of mine that have T-mobile say their customer service is good but their phone service sucks. From what I hear Verizons Customer service is better than Sprint, but I haven't had much problem with Sprint. Sprints calling network has been pretty solid in Los Angeles and their 3G network is very good. So so far unless they go out of business or really do something that screws everything up, I'll stay with them. Hopefully they just keep improving and they get their 4G network out in my area soon.

Apple, $ony and AT&T mobile deserve each other. All three companies don't care about their customers, just the money they give to them. This is why I won't buy anything from $ony or Apple and I have AT&T Uverse and its like its a different company, they've been pretty good so far (maybe because its a new product still and they have suck people in, but I'll take it). There are so many other companies out there that do the same things as these three that are good companies. I like Windows 7, I hope Windows Mobile 7 will be as good as Windows 7. I like the Xbox 360 for gaming over the POS3, I like Samsung, and LG TV's better than $ony ones, and the Zune HD (and hopefully project Pink) will give the iphone for a run for its money....I do like Android phones and the Pre is a hell of a phone too.
I don't like to be confined, I like options. Apple is so much like a cult, in a cult the leader tells his disciples what to do and with Apple Steve Jobs tells his followers....I mean customers what to buy. If Steve Jobs left Apple I wouldn't doubt if there were mass suicides. Apple fanboys are worse than $ony ones. It took 3 versions of the iphone to get cut and paste and MMS for god sake. If any other phone was that bad at putting in something as simple as cut and paste is their OS there would be a lynch mob. The sad thing is people complain about the iphone and AT&T but they keep with them. If I can't make a call on my phone or if it doesn't have a feature I want that other phones have, I'm going to dump that phone and go with one that does what I want it to do. People with the iphone, I hear them complain, but you ask "if you're complaining so much why do you stay?" they just say "because the iphone is the best phone". Then SHUT UP if you think its the best phone. I think the Palm Pre, Blackberries and the Palm Pre are way better than the iphone in many ways.
Hopefully when the Pre goes to Verizon, and as more Android phones come out people will get wise and switch. Hopefully the Zune HD will be as good as it looks and hopefully MS' WM 7 and Project Pink (unless their one in the same) a home run. Oh and while I'm at it hopefully more virus and malware people will get sick of Apples BS of "Macs don't get virus'" and make a ton of them for the Mac to shut people up about that too. Apple needs a shot in the arm so maybe Steve Jobs will change his closed way of thinking "probably not but there is hope".

I have a friend who doesn't have an iphone and it works fine in the Los Angeles Area and I know a few people with iphones that get crappy service. It may just be the iphone is good to use for everything BUT a phone, and its just a crappy phone. In reply to: "Will a Verizon iPhone be better? Maybe"

This is the dumbest thing ever. People make up their own words anyway, its called slang or ebonics...or George Bushese...hey there you go add that, now if this catches on its going to be even worse. We're dumbing down our language anyway, KFC, CPK, Mickey D's, soon we'll just go up to people and calling them by their initials, or call everyone by short nicknames. Instead of Don Reisinger they'll call you D.R. and if their is a D.R. in your company then they'll call you Donny R. Everyone will walk around with their Mob name, or stripper name, or porn star name. Then we'll really loose the respect of other countries. In reply to: "Newspaper industry's next trick: Fake words"
