  • They should've talked about the iPhone's awesome multitasking and its physical keyboard. Do any of you remember a world before iFart and fragile glass screens that break after one fall.

RIP My iPod Touch 2G :'-(

But in all seriousness. The iPhone is pretty alright but it's not built for people with jobs or studies to worry about. They like to pretend like that's not the case but who are they fooling? Not any reasonable person--I'll tell you that.

Today I buffered a 30 minute documentary on YouTube while I listened to music on Pandora and browsed the web. I still had my sudoku game open. I had to take a call but the apps remained open. I had 3 pages open because I was comparing information and got a little sms notification from my gf telling me about a dinner she wants me to go to with her. I added it to my calendar. I still had my other apps open. I decided to catch up on the Iran situation so I opened my AP application. I had no interest in closing my other apps. I didn't have to luckily.

Apple fanboy drones like to say that no one multitasks really but that's just their fragile psyches not being able to handle a phone doing things their jesus phone can't. the fact of the matter is that apple is no one to tell me how I should use my device.

I just ordered a 1350MAH extended battery. The pre comes with a 1150MAH battery pack. That battery pack isn't too good but atleast I can change it. Browsing the precentral forums I read up on how pres can have homebrew apps without any sorts of hacks. I installed SimplyFlipFlops by clicking on a link in an email. Flash is also coming to the device by years end. There are talks of adding video recording support. I can't wait to they unleash that beast to developers. I really like the phone. If you don't like it that's fine. But if you're going to bash it at least make some sense. Don't discredit it by saying the iPhone is better because in many ways it is not. • I live in NYC and ATT 3G coverage is pretty laggy here. Sprint is fast as duck out here. I have HTC touch pro thats given me a lot of nonservice related headaches. I put it up on craigslist. Come June 6th I'll be getting a pre. I don't mind being an early adopter. ATT over charges. I pay $99 and get unlimited minutes, sms, mms, data, gps, tv and some sprint exclusive features. none of the carriers can touch that especially att and verizon. verizon has a good network but att is a network that tries to take on too much and falls on its face..the only downside to sprint is that they use CDMA which is great here in america but useless most everywhere else so I have a treo gsm that I take abroad. • also it looks as if at&t thinks that the US is Europe. these people want to charge over $100 for a plan that actually counts your minutes used as opposed to giving you unlimited minutes, sms, mms, gps, and data.

Sprint charges $100 for unlimited minutes, sms, gps, tv, radio, internet, mms and nfl live.
Boost charges $50 a month for unlimited minutes, web and sms
Metro charges $40 a month for unlimited minutes and sms
$109 will get you 450 minutes with 5,000 night and weekend minutes, unlimited sms and data
no gps, no tv, no mms..to get plan comparable to other providers you'd be paying over $160 with att

i don't know why at&t thinks they can charge that much in the US. In reply to: "Palm Pre vs. iPhone 3G: Which do you want?"

  • by today's standards? are you mad? just because there are 2 or 3 phones with better processors that doesn't mean the pre can not compete.

and i'll tell you what i'd rather use a centro keyboard than that crappy on screen keyboard apple uses.
also, the pre is using the treo pro keyboard.

the iPhone is not a productivity device. it's not for power users. it's for consumers, not people with important jobs or students.

the pre's OS is CLEARLY more advanced than that of other phones out there. get off the bashing band wagon and open your god da(m)ned eyes man. In reply to: "Palm Pre vs. iPhone 3G: Which do you want?"

  • it is pretty much ahead..and I guarantee you it will ship with copy and paste lol

but anyways, where does apple get off really? i didn't realize they invented cellular technology, sms, push email and electricity ..they need to stop ******** and moaning and make the iPhone less of a toy and more of a productivity tool In reply to: "Why I want the Palm Pre to succeed"

  • this is very stupid..man, we all started by using "the hunt and peck method"..and guess what about about a month of solid keyboard use you dont have to do that anymore. the current keyboard layout is fine..you are 100% right, this is a step backwards In reply to: "Computer newbs kick QWERTY to the curb"

  • i've seen a lot of videos surrounding the device. from what i've seen..the OS beats iPhone hands down. obviously i would have to use the phone myself to make any real assertions. but i am thoroughly impressed!

and you know what? sprint is a very good carrier. I pay $111.00 after taxes every month and get unlimited everything. I live in the NYC metro area and go to school in Syracuse NY..I have 3G coverage EVERYWHERE that I go. I have no complaints. I've used tmobile..and you know what? it sucked..like a lot..I also had verizon which was faaaaaaaaar too expensive and didn't deliver on much In reply to: "First impressions: Palm Pre"

  • well..that's all contingent on the type of user you are..we're not all corporate stiffs. a cell phone is not only a productivity tool. cell phones are much more now. this isn't 2001 anymore..

it is very easy to get bored of your cell phone. there is nothing wrong with proclaiming that fact. cell phones are expected to be entertainment hubs now...not just communication tools..if that wasn't the case..camera's would have never been introduced, neither would have live television or live sport feeds..
