Your results make sense since you tested the batteries in a way that generally doesn't drain them too quickly (a flashlight).
I'm sure if you tested them in a digital camera, portable CD player or similar device, you might have found a difference in battery life. From what I gather, the Duracell Ultra Advanced is designed more for the high-drain devices.
Of course, if your dealing with AA batteries in those kind of devices, you'll probably want NiMH rechargeables. A good brand for those is the Sanyo Eneloop cells.

Same here! We're going to be redoing several electrical outlets over the next few months, and I'll definitely buy these if we get them. In reply to: "USB power outlets for the home; why didn't we think of this?"

Now if we can just get a web app that shows a realtime tally of how many "complaints" the app has logged. I'm sure that would make the news fairly quick. :) In reply to: "AT&T iPhone app collects complaints about poor service"

(Re-reads the quote) Oops...my bad. :)
The 90-day warranty isn't too good in my opinion, but I guess I shouldn't complain given the price.

I definitely agree with you in that comparisons to the iPhone are getting old. Yes, Apple has done some amazing things with that device, but it doesn't mean that every other device is a failure now. There is no such thing as a perfect cell phone for everyone.
As i've stated on many tech forums already, I've been a long-time Windows Mobile user, and have gotten used to the way things work - and the customization options that are available. I have used the iPhone, BlackBerrry, Symbian operating systems, but something just keeps drawing me back to WinMo. It does have its quirks, but I've learned to live with them.
As for the Omnia II, I picked up the HSPA version a few days ago here in Canada, and so far I like it.

Great idea, and the price isn't too bad at all. I've been using a similar device for quite a while now and it has indeed help me sleep better. In reply to: "WakeMate: Bluetooth sleep analysis for phones"

By the time the volume gets that loud though, you aren't actually "listening" to the music -- and thus, vinyl is not the recommended option (as suggested in the article). In reply to: "The LP/CD smackdown"

Anandtech did an article about battery life, and Safari 4 was significantly worse than any other browser. Firefox & Internet Explorer weren't very far off from each other.
Here's the article in question (not sure if I can post any external links): http://www.anandtech.com/mobile/showdoc.aspx?i=3636

These are month-to-month plans... not prepaid (as in, "Pay as you go" type plans). The fact you state "monthly plan" throughout the article clarifies this. In reply to: "T-Mobile holiday gift: Aggressive unlimited prepaid plans"

Exactly. First they neuter the PC version (as so many developers are now doing), raise the price, and then 4 hours after installation, you finish the single-player campaign.
Luckily I knew better, and decided I wasn't having any of it. MW2 will not see itself on my computer at all.
