They got rid of the PS3 & Xbox 360 presents in this release. The developers made note of this in the release file. Apparently no one on the dev team has a ps3 or xbox 360 so they weren't able to test if the present even worked.
I believe the normal present should work fine for the PS3

Why the concern about developers ??
On your mac or pc developers can do anything they want? Does that scare you as well?

Because with Android you have a much smaller user base so less money to be made. Also how many versions or Android are their now??? It's a market that is going / become fragmented. Different phones with different OS with different power levels....Developers don't want to deal with this unless the numbers are big enough to make it worth the investment. Despite what any fanboy will tell you currently it's not. In reply to: "Apple relents on Mad artist's caricature app"

It's really simple: Games...
there are way to many rubbish 3rd party titles and not enough quality 1st publisher titles. While having easy to pick up games like wii sports is important you also need titles that are in-depth in their content. The Wii just doesn't have a balanced game line up.

Totally agree.... specially with how large media collections are getting now. 1 TB is not large enough for me and having it tied to one computer is stupid.
Equally I think the Mac line up has a gap between the iMac and the Mac Pro... something in the middle is needed.
@Cvaldes.. you say a mid-tier OS is needed... I am curious what would Apple use this for?

Since you so clearly feel that Snow Leopard is just a service pack can you tell me why?
In your mind what is the definition of service pack vs updates vs paid upgrade
To me generally:
Update is bug fixes, satiability and performance improvements
Service pack is a package of updates
Paid upgrade introduces new features
All operating systems (win, mac, linux.. etc) have the updates and service packs which are normally provided for free.
Given the new features introduced with Snow Leopard I would say its a little more then just a service pack

@Streamline35.... I agree with you that for the average consumer a laptop without an OS is a crazy idea. That said for the more advance user it is annoying to have to pay for an OS you are never going to use. Windows makes up a good part of the cost on these low cost machines.I would like to see more manufacturers selling their computers with a "no OS option."
Many netbooks only come with 1 GB of ram due to Microsoft demanding that any netbook with XP not be sold with more then 2 GB of ram. The OS manufacturer is restricting your hardware options based on their desire to force you onto Vista.... hardly a consumer friendly practice. Any user that wants more then 1 GB of ram with Xp either has to install the ram themselves or by a vista based netbook and downgrade..... hardly consumer friendly.

I hope for Microsoft's sake that it's an exclusive licensing deal... I hope for everyone else that it isn't :-) In reply to: "Bing strikes licensing deal with Wolfram Alpha"
