  • Is it worth it as a gift? My cousin has both an iPhone and a touch MP3 player. His daughter has as well. Would I have to buy extra cases?

Or, should I buy one of those wood cabinets where you put your surge protector within in it and just plug your devices in as usual? In reply to: "Powermat charging system took my iPod Touch hostage"

  • Hey, speaking of bags. I'd like to see more availability for 17" laptops. There aren't a lot of bags out there to cary my nice Dell Studio 17". Why not? In reply to: "Crave giveaway of the week: Ecogear laptop bags"

  • I think promotions like this are FANTASTIC! BTW, is this the Mono version or the Stereo. I know there are 2 types and balancing act trying to decide which one is best. The Washington Post gave out a review on both and both have their good points. What do others here think?

Well I guess if you had them, you wouldn't be participating in this contest now, would you?! Oh well. Hope I win! In reply to: "Crave giveaway of the week: Remastered Beatles CD collection"

  • Preschool kids are just learning the alphabet. So I'm not sure how wise it is to have a QWERTY keyboard. After they learn the alphabet its good to have them search for letters but little ones are just learning their ABCDE. Possibly the keyboard should be done in that way.

While I agree, its a good product to hand the kid when he/she wants to play with adult equipment; the little buttons for such uncoordinated fingers may also be questionable. In reply to: "Leapfrog unveils 'baby BlackBerry' for tots"

  • I'm new to MP3 players. This has been my big question. I bought a Sansa Fuze. I have a lot of CDs I wouldn't mind putting on it but don't want to pay to do that.

I hate how on Cell phones and these subscription places, you can't keep what you bought. Every time I switch cell phones for instance, I have to rebuy my games, wallpapers and ringtones. Probably the same way if I ever want to swap out for a more expensive MP3 player with higher capacity. Or am I wrong? Like I said, I'm new at this. • I still buy CDs because I haven't quite gotten into the MP3 players yet. Even if I did, sometimes you dont OWN the songs you put on there. I can play CDs in my car which does not have any place to plug in an MP3 player. I can use software to put my CD songs on my MP3 player In reply to: "Do you still buy CDs?"

  • If you want a relatively cheap Flatscreen HDTV around 42-46 inches; should I go with Plasma or LCD? What's the difference? In reply to: "HDTV price drops: Black Friday comes early, stays late"

  • I've got a premium pkg with Verizon which includes VZ navigator. I like having it in my phone because my car doesn't come with a device (97 Civic) and my next car may have it. Therefore why pay the money for a Garmin etc if I can get it on my phone for cheaper. I like it except for a few things that I'm sure a lot of GPS's have.

I live in VA near I66 which takes you to the Washington DC area beltway. I heard on the radio that there was an accident closing many lanes right after I get on the beltway from I66 (Rt 7). So I chose to take a route off 66 before the beltway that would take me to the beltway a little longer way but above the accident. It kept wanting to get me on 66 to the beltway at least 4 times. It twice wanted me to make u-turns. After ignoring it for awhile, I think it got the gist I wasn't going back to I66 East. It does recalculate routes which is nice.

I like it because if you're not exactly sure where a turn is, it tells you (In point six miles turn left on....). It does talk at you so you don't have to look at the cell phone to navigate. In reply to: "Poll: Are you for GPS convergence?"
