Comments on: Sneak peek at the LG VX8360

The LG VX8360 wasn't publicized as much at CES 2009, but it still deserves attention for being a pretty decent mid-tier offering from LG and Verizon Wireless. We have a very quick hands-on with it and tell you our impressions.

To report on this phone is one thing, but to gush about such a sub-par phone is frustrating to read. It is reviews like this that keep the US market light years behind the rest of the world in phone features. Phone makers see this and keep giving us these primitive tin-can-and-string phones while the rest of the world has phones with 5MP cameras and large screen smart phones, free with contract!

I have this phone and love it! If I need to take a picture or video I have an awesome Sony with NiteShot for that type of thing. What this phone does and does better than any phone I have ever had is give me a crystal clear call with a solid connection and a the best battery life I have ever had with any cell phone! So I guess it depends what you are looking for in a phone. Want the kitchen sink then by the Storm or an Iphone or similiar type PDA. Just need a phone that you could trust with your life when you HAVE to have a crystal clear call and occasionlly wake you up with it's 3 different alarm clocks-- then I highly suggest this phone!
P.S. Did I mention it has talking caller ID? :-)

I have this phone and I really like it. I am having one problem that I can't seem to solve. I've added all the music from my pc and that wasn't a problem at all. I just sync it to my windows media player and all the music is on the phone. The problem is not all the music is playing. When I look at the screen it shows that it's should be playing, but I don't hear anything. I can't seem to find any reason they shouldn't play. There's not difference in the songs that play and the ones that don't. If there's anyone out there that knows why this is happening and can help me, please do.

About CES

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the world's largest consumer electronics trade show. CES 2009 is scheduled for January 8 through 11 in Las Vegas, and it will feature thousands of exhibitors showcasing their latest tech products. CNET's team of reporters and reviewers will be at the show, covering technology's heavy hitters and previewing thousands of products before they are released to the public.

Each year, CNET, in partnership with the Consumer Electronics Association, produces the Best of CES awards at the International Consumer Electronics Show. The CNET editorial team recognizes the best new products at the show with awards in 10 categories, an overall Best of Show award, and the People's Voice award, which is selected by CNET's online audience.
