Will you guys have Micro ATX boards for these chips as well? I have a Home Theatre PC that requires MATX.

prolly will sooner or later

you need that much processing power for a HTPC?
I'd go with Athlon X2 7750 w/ 780G mobo

It's great news that the new Phenoms hold up, clock-for-clock, against Intel i7! The price-to-performance ratio is a little better than Intel, so I think we'll see a lot more people buying AMD if all this is true.

Yes, we need amd to stay in the game! Im glad they have that 45nm process now so they can compete with intel on a more even level, the more competition, the better it is for us! we get fast chips for low prices! hurray for capitalism! (actually, if we had no regulations intel might have bought amd by now...)

The first Phenom II processors(the 920 and the 940) do support ddr3 just not in an AM2 socket. theses ARE AM3 processors the motherboards are not out yet. you can slap these in an AM2+ Mobo in an existing system and then get the mobo later. I don't get why people dont understand that. The benefits of ddr3 are not that great anyway especially for the price you pay compared to high end ddr2.

About CES

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is the world's largest consumer electronics trade show. CES 2009 is scheduled for January 8 through 11 in Las Vegas, and it will feature thousands of exhibitors showcasing their latest tech products. CNET's team of reporters and reviewers will be at the show, covering technology's heavy hitters and previewing thousands of products before they are released to the public.

Each year, CNET, in partnership with the Consumer Electronics Association, produces the Best of CES awards at the International Consumer Electronics Show. The CNET editorial team recognizes the best new products at the show with awards in 10 categories, an overall Best of Show award, and the People's Voice award, which is selected by CNET's online audience.
