This will be nice. I really hope this will work with the wii zapper, because thats what I use for Medal of Honor Heroes 2.
AAA batteries is a let down, I was hoping for AA batteries since I have rechargable AA batteries. Oh well, still looks nice.; Like this Reply to this comment

The whole Wii system is a fad.. it will eventually die out when people out grow the the endless string of Mario/Kids games, or want to move up to more involved HD games ... (Parents that bought a Wii for their children will be spending money on a new system as soon as their child gets old enough to want "more" from their games.)

*Not to mention Nintendo is really missing the boat by not making more Wii's... Supply/Demand... they need to put one in every home while they can! (It's their only hope.)

by metrodcmike January 9, 2008 10:18 AM PST: A lot of us older than teens appreciate games that you can play intuitively - rather than a several hour learning curve with which buttons to push. It allows friends and family (even grandparents) to join in the fun at a gathering. My friends and I love it, and I think it will have a place in the market for years to come.

As far as supply and demand - agree that accelerating supply would be nice, but always a mgmt choice. Add too many new facilities and when things do slow down you have plants to close and layoffs. Growth has to be balanced.; Like this


by theredmission January 9, 2008 8:02 PM PST: On the surface the Wii has a 'fad' feel to it, but when you look forward it may have been a great move by Nintendo to focus on just the new way of gaming over just pleasing customers through improved graphics, hd capability, etc. When the next gen of systems come out what it will be nothing for Nintendo to add in HD and improved graphics, where as Microsoft and Sony will have to struggle with the decision to incorporate this new format. If they do make the decision to follow Nintendo's format they will have to work hard to win Wii customers over.; Like this

If you don't like it or weren't interested in it, what are you doing looking at this website. System preference isn't personal and it shouldn't be taken that way. Enjoy what you enjoy and let others enjoy what they want. Personally, I would rather play a system that is more interactive and has better gameplay in my opinion. If graphics are the ONLY reason I am purchasing a system, then I will get sick of it soon.; Like this

If ya don't like the wii then get over it and let those of us who do enjoy it. I don't think the wii is a fad at all, I think it is the catalyst for many great things to come. Plus have fun with Microsoft, and Sony's Customer service when your hi end sys breaks. The wii has way less problems and the best customer service on the planet!; Like this


by GTiManDan January 11, 2008 9:53 AM PST: What's with the hate, Wizzy? If you think it's a fad, fine - move along and ignore anything Wii-related for the rest of your life. That will likely be hard since, oh, everyone besides yourself has or wants one and will be enjoying it for what it is and what it provides.

Next - the ratio of kids vs adults that I'm aware of that are Wii owners is drastic. There are some kids with a Wii that I've seen, but I know scads more adults that bought one, some of which would have never, ever bought a game system for the rest of their life if the design would have continued on, verbatim, ad nauseum, until the end of time. Complicated button-mashing isn't for everyone. The fact that millions MORE people are now into gaming is a good thing. A VERY good thing. Were you around when the video game crash happened in the 80s? It seemed like the end of gaming forever, as next to nobody was buying games or consoles any longer and the industry went entirely belly-up. Want history to repeat itself, or do you want millions more people fueling the companies that make consoles or create & develop games?

As for each mfr's console, why not enjoy all the machines for what they're worth? Over each generation's lifespan, I typically purchase each console one at a time along with the games I think will give me the greatest enjoyment from it. Although I'm not pleased with Sony's poor stance in regards to the gamer and the industry, I will eventually end up with a PS3 in my aresenal and will enjoy the crap out of it, regardless of my personal feelings about SCEA. And I won't light up any msg boards with fanboy hate. What's the point? You get no respect from your readers if all you're doing is bemoaning your own agenda instead of focusing on what are the finer points of something. I think it's sad, actually, that the only thing that spurs on some "gamers" is high-resolution. Pathetic. A challenging, fun, old-school 4-bit game is priceless compared to some mindless FPS that is oh-so-beautiful but otherwise worthless and has no replay value. Time wholly wasted.

by XbanditX1993 January 12, 2008 11:17 PM PST: The wii is not a fad the wii wont die out any sooner then people on other consols also the ps3 even went so far as trying to copy the wii remote due to itz innovation but got sued and had to take the rumble out and the 360 i can tell the difference between it and the xbox or the ps2 or the ps1 gaming on ps3 and 360 is getting old and itz time to bring in the new and if i wanted hd games and play bluray or hddvd i'd use my laptop also when you are making a gaming consol u gotta consider that kids love to play not just make a whole libarary full of borring fps games that splat blood at every chance they get or have X everytime u pass a stage or something; Like this


by DravenStele January 9, 2008 12:47 PM PST: I have been a die-hard 360 gamer since it came out. However, I received a Wii for Christmas from my folks. I'm in my thirties and, I love it. I still play my 360 for high end graphics games like CoD4, but I play on the Wii at least for an hour each day. I use Wii sports to wind down and relax. Wii fitness is keeping my wife's attention more than any game has since we've been together.

ive been stuck at home all week with the flu and i was just thinking of things i want and a wireless nunchuck was one of 'em. and sgwizzy the wii isn't trying to appeal to people who want hd games

I always tie myself in knots while boxing, so this would be the best thing for me. Ohh and Nintendo is not going anywhere but up sgwizzy. Nintendo is the only game company that really cares about there customers. I have the 360, PS3, and Wii. The 360 broke within a week, PS3 under a month, Wii 10 months. 360 I was treated like a worthless cheapo because I didn't see why I should pay for a repair when It was a sys prob. PS3 customer service was a little better I got the repair for free but Cust service was iffy( Tried to get me off the phone really fast). Nintendo was excellent, no problems getting a warranty repair set up I was without my system for about half as long as the others and got a brand new warranty when my system came back. The also treated me like a king when I called they answered all my questions and they were Americans that answered the phone( YaY no language barrier issues)!!; Like this Reply to this comment
