LAS VEGAS -- What does T-Mobile have in store for Uncarrier 4.0? CNET will have all the details.
T-Mobile is scheduled to hold its press conference on Wednesday at 12 p.m. PT at the Venetian hotel -- host to many of the events at this year's Consumer Electronics Show.
Photographer Lori Grunin and I will offer real-time news updates, photos, and running commentary throughout the event. You can tune into the live blog here:
Throughout 2013, T-Mobile was the aggressor, pushing down prices and changing the business model for the wireless industry. But this time around, AT&T struck first. The carrier on Friday offered an additional $200 to T-Mobile customers willing to switch. It was a rare occasion that a larger company would directly take on a smaller rival.
T-Mobile CEO John Legere quickly fired back, claiming AT&T was bribing its customers to come back, "but they won't be fooled."
He also touted his press conference, vowing that "the competition is going to be toast!"
That the two carriers are fighting so viciously only underscores the fierce competitive environment, where there are fewer customers up for grabs, and discounts and promotions are more common.
As usual, we'll be using ScribbleLive to bring you live news and photos, blow by blow. We'll start the live blog about 15 minutes before T-Mobile officially starts the event, so be sure to tune in.
