My next HD video camera?

This is only a quick post because I just walked past the Aiptek booth and saw their tiny but feature-packed 1080p video camera that will be available in the U.S. later this year--at a very attractive price point. Its memory allows for approximately two hours of 1080p HD video using a 4GB memory card. This one promises to be a "must have" gadget for next year.

Hello Phil,

Thank you for the information as I missed the CES this year and usually go.

If you want a way to share HD home movies online to the millions of installed users in full-screen today (without them or you having to upgrade any compter hardware or software) there is a demo that will blow you away at: www.designavs.com

It is full-screen 1080p embedded in the webpage and made me tingle when I first saw it as is the best video I've ever seen on my wireless HP entertainment notebook I bought last year. On the same page is the same video distributed by Sony Pictures, Comcast Fancast, YouTube, and MySpace and they simply do not compare. Also check out the video examples page showing the video compression transcode solution is better than what most think are the leaders. There is also a good blog just getting going.

This is a company to watch and if AMD is interested in full-screen HD video media online for distribution to advertise, promote, train, or ... you will find a visit to their site to see their videos worth the time. Thank you for the review. Will check into the Aiptek product as am in the market to buy one this year. I have been leaning toward the Cannon HV30 for under $1000 and had been comparing it to the Sony HDR-HC9. Thank you again for letting us know it is out there as will throw Aiptek in the mix as small is good. My current camera I often use I hate to admit I bought in 1990 and is a Hitachi VMH-39A which was the worlds smallest and best then... Super 8 about the size of a VCR tape ...

~ Ed
