EasyShare and share alike: Kodak's new cameras and printer

Kodak just announced a slew of new digital imaging products at CES, including several cameras and an all-in-one photo printer scheduled to ship in the first half of this year.

The company caps off its CES announcements with the ESP 3 All-in-One Printer. This latest multipurpose consumer photo printer functions as a document printer, a photo printer, and a flatbed scanner. Kodak claims the ESP 3 can print 29 color documents in a minute, or produce a 4 x 6 borderless photo in as little as 30 seconds. A memory card slot lets the ESP 3 print photos directly from CF, SD, xD, and MS cards. Finally, the 5.4-pound printer can work with Bluetooth devices using a USB Bluetooth adapter. The Kodak ESP 3 ships will retail for about $130.

The EasyShare M1033 sits at the high end of Kodak's M-series' colorful, stylish compact cameras. The 10-megapixel M1033 comes in six different colors and features a wide 3-inch screen for sharing shots. It can capture high-definition video and, with Kodak's optional HDTV Dock, play it back on an HDTV. While they don't feature the same big screen or HD video, Kodak also introduced the 7-megapixel M763 and the 8-megapixel M863 and M893 IS, little brothers to the M1033 without its high definition video mode. All three cameras include larger-than-usual 2.7-inch LCD screens, and the M893 IS uses optical image stabilization, a feature even the M1033 lacks. The EasyShare M-series cameras will sport suggested prices of $130 to $200.

Kodak's EasyShare V1273 combines 12-megapixel resolution with a large, 3-inch touchscreen control system. Like the M1033, the V1273 can also capture high-definition video. If that seems a bit much, the 10-megapixel, non-HD video V1073 offers touchscreen controls and a 10-megapixel sensor for about $80 less. The Kodak EasyShare V1273 has a suggested price of $280, while the V1073 will retail for about $200.

Finally, Kodak updates its EasyShare Z-series camera line with the Z1085 and Z1285, two midrange cameras with manual exposure controls and 5x zoom lenses with optical image stabilization. The 10-megapixel Z1085 and the 12-megapixel Z1285 both feature the same high-def video features as the M1033 and the V1273, along larger, optically-stabilized lenses. The two Kodak EasyShare Z-series cameras will retail between $200 and $300.
