Photos: Crazy-long ultrasupermegazooms

Whatever you want to call them, cameras and camcorders with ultrazoom lenses are popular to the point where they're becoming better for marketing a camera than resolution, LCD size, or ISO. Here are the latest models from CES 2009 to sport double-digit zooms.

Kodak probably thought when it announced its 24x zoom camera it would be the longest at the show. But then Olympus crept by them with the SP-590UZ and its 26x f2.8-5.0 26mm-676mm-equivalent lens. The 12-megapixel camera also features dual image stabilization, face detection, ultra high- speed sequential shooting, and a bright 2.7-inch LCD. Look for it to pop into stores in March at or around the price of $449.
